Next Chapter Podcasts partners with Jamit for web3-Powered launch of award-winning audio drama “runboyrun”

Jamit, the web3-enabled podcast platform championing diverse voices and stories, today announced a distribution pact with Next Chapter Podcasts (NCP), the U.S. studio behind Play On Podcasts’ hit Shakespeare remixes and star-studded originals. The alliance kicks off August 1st with the West African premiere of “runboyrun,” produced as an audio play adaptation by Next Chapter Podcasts and The Huntington, written by Mfoniso Udofia, the critically acclaimed audio drama that fuses the scars of the 1967 Biafra War with a modern-day Massachusetts marriage.

runboyrun is the kind of gripping, character-driven audio that African audiences are hungry for. This partnership isn’t just about one show, it's about building a repeatable growth engine for every Next Chapter title that finds a home on Jamit. Our web3 rails turn every episode into a shared digital collectible, we’re proving a new growth engine, one we’ll replicate for every NCP title that follows.” said Ike Orizu, Jamit Co-Founder & CEO.

“We’ve been podcasting before podcasts were a thing," noted Michael Goodfriend, Chief Content Officer at NCP. “Partnering with Jamit lets us upgrade from downloads to a more engaged relationship with our listeners.”

THE FLAGSHIP: runboyrun

Set where the Nigerian-Biafran war erupted on 6 July 1967, playwright Mfoniso Udofia’s three-episode thriller starring star actors like Chike Johnson, Abigail Onwunali, Ngozi Anyanwu and directed by Christopher Edwards, collides civil-war trauma with a 2012 Boston marriage. Produced by Next Chapter Podcasts with Huntington Theatre, in partnership with the Boston Public Library and GBH, the binaural drama drops on Jamit for a more engaging experience.
