Episode Notes
This one is for the entrepreneurs who are trying to build something
You want to change the world, I get it
You want to be rich, I get that as well
But you have to apply wisdom.
There is something most entrepreneurs don't want to hear: REST.
Researchers at National Geographic found that cheetahs burn about 2,000 calories per day -- the same as an average-size man.
The experiments tracked energy budgets for mountain lions in Santa Cruz, California, and cheetahs on two South African game reserves, measuring how many kilojoules of energy they use daily.
In fact, a cheetah's energy use is "remarkably similar" to that of a person who burns an average of 2,000 calories a day. "I guess both humans and cheetahs rest a lot to offset high-energy activities," said cheetah-study co-author Johnny Wilson, a biologist at North Carolina State University in Raleigh.
It is no hidden fact that Cheetahs work hard to capture their prey as it is seen when you watch documentaries on them, but they quickly compensate for each burst by hiding, waiting and resting. However, they don’t have startups to run, but I can’t help but draw a parallel between these big cats and modern founders. Many entrepreneurs are anti-Cheetahs.
This podcast talks about 5 ways to rest and an entrepreneur without breaking your head/neck
